2009 IN REVIEW
2009 Race Winners - Will Davison and Garth Tander
2nd: Jason Richards and Cameron McConville
3rd: Lee Holdsworth and Michael Caruso
In another classic Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, Toll HRT’s Garth Tander and Will Davison were able to overcome their rivals to take Holden’s first Bathurst win since 2005 and, in turn, claim the Peter Brock Trophy for the first time. Starting from pole position in damp conditions after Tander had been fastest in the Top 10 Shootout, Davison moved to the front in the early running and the duo virtually stayed there all day. It was a magic day for Holden, with 9 of the top 10 finishers being Commodores and a season-best performance from Team BOC and Jason Richards and Cameron McConville in second place. Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup finished fifth in their bid to win a fourth successive Bathurst crown, while Greg Murphy and Mark Skaife starred for Sprint Gas Racing. They finished fourth but saw a potential win go begging with the timing of a late race Safety Car period working against them.

Tickets to the 2010 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, October 7-10 are on Sale NOW via Ticketek. There is a range of ticketing options available, visit Ticketek Now or find out more here...
